Description
Did you know that a calorie is the unit of heat energy that is needed to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water to 1 degree Celsius?
There are countless Fad Diets that aim to help people reduce weight (eg. very low Carbohydrate Diet, Protein Diet, Salads only, Liquid Diet, etc.). However, a diet that focuses on balancing calorie-control and variety of food is the most successful and healthy method to lose weight. An average adult (consuming between 1,800 - 2,000 calories a day) seeking to lose a pound per week, must burn 3500 more calories than they consume.
Therefore, raising awareness about issues like calorie content in different foods, calorie expenditures through different physical activities, monitoring daily intake by means of a food diary accompanied by physical activity is the best proven approach to lose pounds and maintain your ideal weight.
Don't miss the opportunity to meet an expert dietician from KMC and learn how to better know your body, your needs and how to take care of yourself! So register quickly for this workshop!
