Ana is a developmental psychologist with a general interest in children's socioemotional development.
She has two main lines of research. First, she is interested in how children learn about emotions, especially through conversations with their parents. Much of her work has examint gender differences in parent-child emotion talk and children's understanding of emotions. Sh also very interested in the development of emotion regulation and in co-rumination.
Second, her work focuses on examining family relations, especially parent-child and sibling relations. She is particularly interested in the relation between parenting and children's developmental outcomes.
