These Drawing Classes are meant to give an introduction to students on how to draw every day objects in a realistic way. Principals will be taught and then practiced by the students during the class. In particular, students will:;- Learn about good composition on page and perspective;- Learn how to break down objects into geometric shapes;- Practice the sketching every day objects as they really appear;- Learn about shading and drawing the ‘textures’ of the object to make them look 3D on the page
Rebecca Allen
Rebecca Allen is a PhD student in the Earth Sciences and Engineering program at Kaust, and is studying subsurface fluid modeling. Her interests outside of research include art, and she developed an interest in pencil drawing during her highschool art classes.

Wendy Keyes
Wendy Williams Keyes grew up in Greater Boston and graduated with a degree in viola performance from the New England Conservatory of Music. She has taught violin and viola and performed with the New Haven Symphony Orchestra, the Arietta String Trio, the Virginia Symphony, and most recently as principal violist with the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony (of New York City). Her proficiency with regional genres has been developed through Simon Shaheen’s annual Arabic Music Retreat. Wendy’s viola is made by Luis and Clark, a Boston-based firm specializing in carbon fiber string instruments.
