Description
This workshop is aimed at all those wishing to familiarize themselves with or improve their thesis and/or dissertation writing skills. The main aspects covered will range from: the weight and function of the different thesis components (abstracts, introductions, body and conclusions), layout and content structure (coherence and cohesion), style and important grammatical considerations of the language in use. Both theoretical and practical, those attending this interactive workshop should have a clearer picture of the basic "do's" and "don'ts" when embarking on what might be their most important piece of writing in their lives!
Erica Jolly
Ms. Erica T. Jolly has been teaching English as a Foreign Language, English for Business, English for Specific Purposes and English for Academic purposes now for over 18 years in 9 different countries, on 4 different continents. Immediately prior to working at KAUST she was teaching at universities in Nottingham and Hull in the UK. Her MA in English Language Teaching Is from the University of Reading in England. Ms. Jolly also has a background in the sciences, with a Bachelors degree in Mathematics.
