Inheritance, Innovation and Development of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Art
This lecture will focus on the history and development of Chinese calligraphy and painting.
Part 1: Chinese painting. Through graphic PPT (Chinese and English) presentations, Mr. Tian Qin will introduce the origin and development of Chinese painting, the characteristics of Chinese painting.
Part 2: Chinese calligraphy. The lecture will introduce the origin and development of Chinese calligraphy, through a large number of examples to understand the current situation of Chinese calligraphy; Chinese calligraphy’s aesthetic view points and philosophic thought will also be introduced to participators.
Part 3: Tools for Chinese painting and calligraphy. The lecture will also introduce the four treasures of the study (The basic tools and materials for Chinese painting and calligraphy).
After the lecture, Special Opening of the artist exhibition.

Tian Qin
Qin Tian, born in Hongan County, Hubei Province, graduated from Hubei Institute of Fine Arts.
He held his personal calligraphy and painting exhibition at Beijing798 Art Center and Beijing Pan Jia Yuan Community Art Centre in 2005. He won Third Class Prize at Red Eagle Cup, National Civil Servant Calligrapy and painting Contest in 2000 and was invited to participate at The Fifth West Lake Impression of modern Fine Works Auction in Zhejiang in July 2014.
