Also, in term of nano science,  I would like to add as a potential speaker an excellent woman scientist who is probably at a much higher level: Xiaowei Zhuang. She is one of the most successful woman in Harvard and work on real time super high resolution imaging in biology. I believe what she does will really change the game in understanding living systems. She is also doing neurons imaging so would fit very well with Pierre session, or she can also present more from the instrumention side. She is only 45 and was already a key member of the chinese academy of science.
