Where: CMOR

Description
Join us at KAUST's Coastal and Marine Resources Core Lab (CMOR) for an open house to learn about the CMOR's facilities and day to day operations that help support KAUST's marine research.
Shuttle busses to and from the CMOR will be available to pick you up at Building 16 at 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Visit CMOR to get the chance to see fish or Invertebrates and live deep sea corals sampled in 2013 from a depth of 320 meters. Diving scuba gear will be demonstrated and you’ll get the chance to “breathe” from a regulator or wear a commercial diver’s stainless steel helmet. Deep Sea research equipment that is used in Red Sea will be exhibited and a special deployment will take place from the first Research Vessel of Saudi Arabia, R/V Thuwal.
Afterwards, join us for an afternoon session from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Deep Sea in the 21st Century led by KAUST Prof. Carlos Duarte. To learn more and to register, click here.
