DescriptionMohamad Charafeddine is the VP of Product for the Mobility Platform at Careem. Before this, he was a Principal Architect at a Stanford spin-out startup in Silicon Valley, headed the Applied AI R&D lab at Samsung, and worked at the Core ML team for Facebook's Business Integrity. In this talk, he will talk about how to make people's lives easier by enabling seamless access to anyone, anything, anywhere via ubiquitous transport. He will draw parallels between the world of bits transport and the world of atoms transport. The delivery of goods right now resembles the Internet in the 1980s. The Internet works with packets switching, software-defined networking, APIs economy, caching, and routing and access hardware. He will talk about packages switching, robotic API interfaces, multi-modal autonomous vehicles, and how eventually the world will be connected. He will share some new applications that the AtomNet will enable, for instance in healthcare, and how the supply chain and its value chain will evolve.
